Gail Gensler is a lifestyle model and mother to an incredible 26-year-old woman. She is a brand ambassador and a blogger with a mission to change the narrative around aging through fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Gail decided to raise her voice and represent her demographic in the fitness apparel industry when she saw the typical portrayal of women her age in media — weak, in need of medication, living lonely and mostly sedate lives. Her goal these days is to be an authentic midlife model with a pro-aging mindset. She hopes to inspire other midlife women to change their perspective on aging.

Outside the gym, Gail has had a long career in the automotive industry and is considered a leader in her field. A New Yorker at heart, Gail now resides in Miami, Florida. You can connect with Gail on Instagram.

IN WHICH GENERATION DO YOU BELONG?

Generation Jones: 1955 – 1964

DO YOU WORK? IF SO, WHAT DO YOU DO?

I’m the BDC manager of an automotive group in Miami, where I have been for 23 years.

HOW ARE YOU MOST DIFFERENT FROM THE 25-YEAR-OLD VERSION OF YOU?

I’m really not that much different! I’ve always been ambitious, goal-oriented, a high achiever, athletic, and a great leader and salesperson. Today I have more clarity about what I want to do when I grow up. I have a newfound purpose.

WHAT HAS NOT CHANGED ABOUT YOU?

Athletic ability

GOOD OR BAD, WHAT ABOUT MIDLIFE HAS SURPRISED YOU SO FAR?

I never really thought about the aging process. I just kept ‘doing me’. I never thought about being an inspiration to younger generations of women, which has surprised and delighted me.

WHAT ONE HABIT ARE YOU ACTIVELY WORKING ON THESE DAYS?

Time and energy management. In my endeavor to build my business as a lifestyle model, brand ambassador, and blogger, I took on many projects that I no longer want to spend my time and energy on.

WHAT BRINGS YOU THE MOST JOY THESE DAYS AND WHY?

Working out, of course!

WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT THESE DAYS?

New fitness challenges, international travel, and pursuing new goals in both of my careers.

IF YOU COULD GIVE A 20-YEAR-OLD PERSON SOME WORDS OF WISDOM OR PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT MIGHT IT BE?

Keep doing YOU! Be you, do you, for you!

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE SINGER/BAND GROWING UP?

The Beatles
